Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This policy explains what personal data IDThisMix (“we”, “us”) collects when you use idthismix.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have. We are the data controller. Questions? Email support@idthismix.com.
What we collect
- Mix submissions. The URL you submit and the resulting tracklist and mix metadata (title, thumbnail, duration). We store these to produce your result and, where a mix is made public, to power the searchable tracklist archive.
- Account data (if you create an account). Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile information Google shares. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
- Technical data. Your IP address, which we use to derive an approximate country and to prevent abuse of the free tier, plus basic device/browser information.
- Analytics (only with your consent). Anonymous usage events via PostHog and Google Tag Manager. Nothing analytics-related loads until you opt in.
Cookies
Your cookie choice is stored locally in your browser. Necessary cookies keep the site working and set no tracking cookies. Analytics cookies are set only after you opt in. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.
Why we use your data (legal bases)
- To provide the service — performance of a contract with you.
- To prevent abuse and improve the product — our legitimate interests.
- Analytics and any marketing email — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that run IDThisMix, each acting on our instructions: Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (transactional email), PostHog and Google (analytics), Google (sign-in), ACRCloud and Shazam (audio recognition), and Railway and Vercel (hosting). Some of these providers process data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Mix submissions and tracklists are retained to power results, your history, and the public archive. Account data is kept until you delete your account. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to our use of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@idthismix.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Children
IDThisMix is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
